With Blessings of Shri Ganesh, Maa Saraswati and Shri Sai Baba, Sai Yug Network offering humble tribute to lotus feet of Sangeet Martand (the blazing sun of music) Pandit Jasraj ji.
Pandit Jasraj ji took birth on 28 January 1930 and merged into God on 17th August 2020 at age of 90.
Number 90 is a symbol of serving humanity by taking up a spiritual vocation which clearly fits Pandit ji.
For 75 long years, Pandit Ji served God by using music as a medium. Pandit Jasraj ji has sung various stutis, Sanskrit verses of great saint-poets, Bhajans, Vedic chants with pure devotion that brings supreme joy and happiness to listeners which cannot be described in words. Pandit ji embodies the pure devotion, service and love to God.
Pandit ji has done wonderful service to Shri Sai Baba. Pandit Ji’s albums Sai – The Essential Prayers and Sai Upasana are two paisa dakshina in feet of Baba. If devotees, listen attentively to Pandit Jis’ reverential and soulful rendition of the Sai Vachan, the 11 promises made by Sai Baba to His devotees, can feel the bliss themselves.
Sai Baba has taught us Sabka Malik Ek (Everyone’s Master is One). Pandit Ji communicated the same with music by singing praise of “Allah” and “Om”. In personal experience, Pandit Ji explained how God motivated Pandit ji for “Om Allah Om” a music fusion. This renedition is great example of Pandit ji giving respect to all religions and doing his service for unity of Hindu and Muslim.
Pandit ji has been instrumental in mentoring other vocalists and preparing the next generation to carry on the legacy. Pandit Ji trained Sanjeev Abhyankar ji, Sadhana Sargam ji, Tripti Mukherjee ji, Anuradha Paudwal ji and many other students who all are serving God following steps of the Guru.
One who sings glory of God, and also helps humanity to follow the same, what to say about the merit of such a person. We are indebted to Pandit Ji for blessing us with divine music and taking us closer to God.
