In a world where fear often overshadows faith, countless devotees unknowingly fall prey to superstition and exploitation. Shirdi Sai Baba against Blind Belief in Black Magic is not just a warning, it’s a reminder that while dark energies may exist, their power pales before the grace of Baba. This article explores how misplaced trust in rituals, talismans, and self-proclaimed healers can drain peace, health, and resources, and how surrender to Baba becomes the ultimate shield against all harms.
The Power of Faith over the Fear of Darkness
Over the years, I have met countless Shirdi Sai Baba devotees whose hearts are full of devotion, yet their minds are clouded by fear. Some believe that invisible dark energies, black magic, or “bad eyes” are controlling their lives. Others have spent sleepless nights wondering if someone, somewhere, has “done something” to harm them.
Unfortunately, in this vulnerable state, many fall into the traps of self-proclaimed “experts” who claim to have solutions, but only end up draining their emotions, peace, and hard-earned money. I have seen families broken, bank accounts emptied, and health destroyed, all because fear was greater than faith.
The purpose of this post is simple, to clear the confusion, replace fear with knowledge, and guide hearts back to the lotus feet of Shirdi Sai Baba, where no darkness can touch you. I will explain what black magic and dark energies really are, how they are used or misused, and most importantly, why believing in Sai Baba alone will give you more protection and peace than any talisman or ritual ever could.
Black Magic & Dark Energies – What They Are and How They Work
Across cultures, from ancient India to the Middle East, people have believed in forces that can be invoked for good or harm. In Sanskrit, some harmful practices are called abhichāra, while in Islamic traditions, harmful magic is known as sihr. These involve rituals, invocations, and the use of certain materials or words to influence events, health, or emotions.
Do they exist?
Yes, both ancient scriptures and modern anthropological studies acknowledge that such practices have been attempted for centuries. Some genuine practitioners in both Hindu and Sufi traditions claim they can influence energy fields or interact with unseen forces. However, these are extremely rare, and their power, if any, depends entirely on the belief and vulnerability of the target.
But here is the truth:
For every genuine practitioner, there are hundreds of con artists who use fear as a business model. They may claim to remove curses, “block negative energy,” or “send blessings,” but in reality, their aim is to make you dependent on them, emotionally and financially.
They often:
- Diagnose imaginary problems (“You have a curse on your family”).
- Offer expensive rituals or talismans.
- Threaten worse outcomes if you don’t continue paying.
- Isolate you from your normal sources of guidance and support.
My Knowledge in This Subject
Over years of study, I have explored both the Hindu tantric and Sufi esoteric traditions, not to practice harm, but to understand their principles, boundaries, and their place in history.
From Hinduism, I have learned about
- Abhichāra karmas in the Atharva Veda and Tantra texts.
- The six “acts” (ṣaṭ-karmāṇi), only one of which (śānti) is purely for peace and protection.
- How Ayurveda’s bhūta-vidyā branch treats illnesses believed to be spirit-related through mantras, herbs, and rituals.
From Sufism, I have studied
- Qur’anic ruqyah, recitations for healing and protection.
- The lawful limits set in Islamic law to prevent harm.
- The use of pure devotion and remembrance of God (dhikr) as the highest form of protection.
After October 2024, during one of my research journeys for “The Unknown Fakir”, the second chapter of our book Shirdi Sai Baba – The Guiding Light for the New Age (Volume 1), I came across certain talisman-based cult practices, deep, core-level tantric methods that are rarely spoken about because of their taboo nature. To my surprise, I witnessed instances where these methods produced tangible results, even though they defied my logical reasoning. They were capable of addressing serious ailments, easing deep emotional pain, and even resolving complicated relationship challenges.
Yet there was a cost. The way these universal forces were being tapped into gradually drained the inner peace of those who practised them, even when their intentions were good. The flaw, I realised, was not in the underlying energy, but in the way the technique was applied, the “playground” where it was performed. By changing the environment and applying the same core principles in a cleaner, more sattvic (pure) context, the profound healing remained intact, but the peace of the practitioner was no longer compromised. Once I understood this, I began integrating these refined methods into my own prayer readings, and the results were remarkable, both effective and harmonious.
Through this, I have seen a clear pattern: True spiritual traditions discourage harm and focus only on healing, protection, and moral living. The rest is either folk belief, misinterpretation, or outright exploitation.
How People Suffer by Believing the Wrong Way
The suffering caused by misplaced belief in black magic is not just emotional, it’s holistic.
- Mentally: Fear grows like a shadow. Every bad dream, missed call, or headache feels like an “attack.”
- Emotionally: Relationships strain under suspicion, “Who did this to me?” becomes an obsession.
- Financially: Families spend thousands on rituals, talismans, and “removals” that solve nothing.
- Physically: Stress weakens the immune system, sleep is disturbed, and genuine health problems go untreated.
And here’s the tragic irony, most of these “curses” are either self-created through anxiety or entirely fabricated by those who profit from your fear.
The Lotus Feet of Shirdi Sai Baba – The Only True Protection
Shirdi Sai Baba lived in a small, dusty village, yet his presence drew people from every background, Hindus, Muslims, rich, poor, learned, and illiterate. He never sold talismans, nor did he promise to remove curses for a fee. Instead, he taught:
“Sabka Malik Ek” – God is the Master of All.
“Shraddha – Saburi” – Faith and Patience.
Baba’s protection does not come from complicated rituals, it comes from surrendering your worries to him completely.
When you place your trust in Him:
- Fear loses its grip.
- The mind becomes steady.
- Energy that was wasted in suspicion is now invested in devotion and positive living.
- Your decisions become clearer, and your peace is restored.
Think of it this way, black magic feeds on fear and doubt; Baba’s grace feeds on faith and surrender. When your heart is anchored at Baba’s feet, there is simply no room for these dark forces to enter.
Many devotees have experienced this, when they stopped chasing talismans and rituals, and instead chanted Baba’s name, visited Dwarkamai in their hearts, and served others selflessly, their problems dissolved, sometimes in ways they could not explain.
Final Word
I am not asking you to deny the existence of black magic or dark energies. I am asking you to deny them the power to rule your life.
If you believe in Shirdi Sai Baba, then believe completely. Do not mix faith with fear. Do not let your devotion be diluted by superstition. Your Sathguru’s grace is greater than any curse, stronger than any spell, and more certain than any talisman.
The only “remedy” you need is this:
- Chant Baba’s name daily.
- Keep your conscience clean.
- Serve others without expectation.
- Sit in silence, imagining your head at his feet.
Then watch, how even the thought of black magic will vanish like mist under the morning sun.
